Position Description
 

Job Summary

The successful candidate will Sell and service the Auto Club Group (ACG) insurance products by actively focusing on growth, retention and profitability. Utilizes a variety of sales and prospecting techniques in order to attract and retain a high quality of business. Services accounts by explaining coverages, assessing accounts for appropriate coverages and discounts, applying appropriate rates, resolving billing problems and responding to service related questions through member contact. Promotes and sells ACG (i.e., Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota) membership and insurance product lines in support of overall company objectives. Utilizes various presentations and techniques designed to effectively address prospective and existing customer needs.
 
Pursues and secures new business and additional product sales opportunities. Develops leads and prospects for the new members and insured. Promotes the retention of existing members by providing quality member service and staying informed regarding their changing situations and needs. Appropriately provides rates for new and renewal business, utilizing basic knowledge of underwriting principles to ensure meeting ACG business objectives. Reviews and analyzes sales volumes, retention and loss ratio trends to identify areas of improvement, marketing opportunities and potential problems. Follows internal processing procedures (e.g. customer payments, insurance policies, etc.) to ensure that business is handled in accordance with established company policies and procedures and meets department and corporate compliance objectives.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:
·         Recent sales experience, with a proven record of successfully soliciting and selling property and casualty insurance products.
·         Strong organizational, planning, time management and administrative skills demonstrated through work experience and/or coursework.
·         Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through participation in extra-curricular activities, professional organizations, and/or community involvement.
·         Communicate effectively with members, insureds and prospective clients in order to present complex information in a clear manner.
·         Possession of valid State Driver’s License.
·         Experience with P.C. software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.)
·         Attained and maintain applicable state licenses required for selling the Auto Club Group product and service lines.
 
PREFERRED:
·         College level coursework in Business, Marketing, Insurance or other related field.
