ABOUT MIDLANDS CHOICE
Midlands Choice is one of the Midwest’s preeminent preferred-provider organizations (PPOs) with a network of more than 18,000 physicians and other licensed healthcare professionals, 300 hospitals, and nearly 1300 ancillary healthcare providers. The core network spans Nebraska, Iowa and eastern South Dakota, with providers in portions of adjoining states including Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
We contract with providers who offer discounts on healthcare services to members of about 140 insurance companies, third-party administrators (TPAs), and other organizations we call our "payers". Through these relationships, Midlands Choice is an important part of creating quality and affordable choices for healthcare consumers. In addition, our providers undergo a stringent credentialing process before entering the network so consumers can rest assure that they are receiving the best care possible.
The company’s history dates back to the 1980s. Its seven shareholders are: Alegent Health, BryanLGH Health System, Catholic Health Initiatives, Healthcare Partners of Western Iowa, Methodist Health System, Mercy Health Network, and Nebraska Health Partners.
