FACTS Management Company America’s Premier Tuition Management Program
FACTS Management Company was founded in 1986 by David Byrnes and Stan Phillips to offer a tuition management service to private and parochial schools. The company started with 1 school and 30 families. We now serve nearly 3000 schools, colleges and universities, over 350,000 families, and one billion dollars in tuition funds managed. Our automated tuition management system makes use of the latest in electronic funds processing through banks and credit cards to collect tuition payments for our clients.
Our program is supported by a team of committed, service-oriented professionals that retain over 99% of our schools from year to year. We work hard to provide the institutions we serve with the latest in technological developments to meet their needs. We feel that in many ways, tuition management IS information management so we work to provide both a superior tuition management program and reliable detailed information about that service. FACTS Management Company is committed to enhancing the financial stability and affordability of educational institutions. We know that each institution we serve is an irreplaceable resource, and we believe that our company contributes to the lasting societal impact of quality schools and institutions. The partnership between the school and FACTS is developed via collaborative team approach that results in the most beneficial program for the school. Our unwavering pledge to superior customer service and support is the cornerstone of this partnership.
We’ve been recognized in many ways as we’ve served the education community across America. In 1995, for example, the Mid-America Payment Exchange recognized FACTS for its excellence in automatic bank draft activity. Officers of the Exchange presented the Marquis award to FACTS to recognize our outstanding activities to promote the awareness of Automatic Clearing House transactions and helping expand the use of ACH for financial transactions.
Then, in 1997, Catholic schools selected our company as one of the top 25 companies in the nation that had aided Catholic education nationwide. The fact that we were selected by the very schools we serve was a deeply touching testimony of the benefits we’re able to provide them.
The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce presented FACTS with its "Fastest Growing Small Business" award in 1997. We have been blessed with a great staff that is dedicated to serving our clients. That dedication has been rewarded with significant growth. We’ve doubled in size in just the past three years.
Rewards again came our way in 2000 when Inc. Magazine and Cisco Systems recognized FACTS Management Company for innovation in customer service. This award clearly illustrated that FACTS is among the leaders in our use of technology to serve schools and colleges.
The year 2001 saw recognition in several ways. David Byrnes and Stan Phillips, founders of FACTS Management Company, were recognized by the University of Nebraska for their work as entrepreneurs. The UNL College of Business Administration named Byrnes and Phillips as Entrepreneurs of the Year during a conference on entrepreneurship. Two of our client institutions were also singled out for recognition. Purdue University Calumet and Prince George’s Community College of Maryland were recognized for their implementation of the innovative Web based e-Cashier payment service developed by FACTS Management Company. The Treasury Institute for Higher Education, an independent organization devoted to enhancing treasury operations for higher education and University Business, a print/online magazine covering leading-edge developments in education announced the special recognition following a review of nominations submitted by institutions from throughout the country.
While we love the public recognition, our greatest reward is the contribution we’ve made toward the financial stability of the schools, colleges and universities we serve. By implementing FACTS’ program as recommended, thousands of schools are better managed, better informed, and financially stronger than ever before in their history. Through financial management workshops and our scholarship program, FACTS contributes to improving the financial management of the schools we serve and meeting the affordability concern of families in need.
We’ve provided financial assistance in another way as well. Many schools we serve have received scholarship donations from FACTS. We provide these donations as one way to be of further assistance to the schools and families we serve. Because of our commitment to private and parochial education, we also offer a unique benefit to our employees. FACTS pays a part of their tuition expense for any children attending a private or parochial school. We have employees with children attending the very schools we serve.
