Position Description
DTN is seeking a highly skilled .NET/Database Developer and Co-Architect for the Refined Fuels team. This individual will be a key member in developing leading edge, web-based software solutions in ASP.NET and C# technologies for the Petroleum industry. These revolutionary products include real-time information and transaction management services such as real-time credit, product and order authorization, as well as inventory support to help manage credit limits and allocations. You will also be responsible for working on select Oracle redesign and maintenance projects, implement stored procedures and functions using PL/SQL and logical and physical data modeling.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop web pages using ASP.NET and C#.
- Implement client-side scripts in JavaScript.
- Design web pages using HTML.
- Develop middleware objects using C#.
- Analyze customer requirements and develop Software Requirements Specifications.
- Create top-level and detailed design documents for selected projects.
- Implement stored procedures, functions, etc. using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Work independently on select database redesign and maintenance projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA / BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience required.
- 7+ years experience in application development required.
- Expert experience in the following required: ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio.
- Experience with data access layers (ADO.NET, JDBC, etc) required.
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in one of the following: Oracle 8i, 9i or 10g highly desired, extensive experience with SQL Server acceptable.
- Excellent PL/SQL development experience is required.
- Experience in JavaScript and HTML required.
- Experience developing Web Services is required.
- Experience with AJAX a required.
- Good Logical and Physical data modeling experience required.
- Ability to support and assist the team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications required.
- Extensive experience with a variety of software development methodologies and design and development approaches.
- Experience with progressive software development practices (continuous builds, automated unit tests, etc.)
- Attitude to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fairly short time.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
