Joanne Peters founded Peters Personnel in 1985. She has worked in the Placement Industry in the Metro Omaha area since 1976. Peters Personnel specializes in Placing Candidates in the Legal, Medical, Banking, Investment, Insurance, Real Estate, Office Support, Secretarial, Customer Service and Accounting Fields.
We do not charge the candidate a fee. Our Fees, which are paid by the Employer, are 10% of the annual starting salary. We have an unconditional 90-day guarantee. Also we offer a no-interest, six-month payment plan for those companies who choose that option.
Joanne Peters received her Certified Personnel Consultant designation in 1978. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1970 with a degree in Speech and Drama. She taught high school in Charter Oak, Iowa for five years before moving to Council Bluffs and entering the Placement Business. She worked for Midtown Personnel from 1976 to 1985 when she started Peters Personnel in Council Bluffs. Later in 1992, the office was moved to Omaha.
Peters has always been active in a number of organizations and does a good deal of volunteer work for the community. She has the honor of being one of the first women in the metro area to be inducted into Rotary, having joined Council Bluffs Morning Rotary in June 1987. She is currently on the Board of Directors for Suburban Rotary and a District Chair. She has also received International recognition from Rotary for her work on the Family of Rotary Committee. For over twenty years she has been involved with her Industry Associations both on a State and National level having held nearly every office for the State Association. She is currently serving as President of the Nebraska Association of Personnel Consultants.
Tamara Rager joined Peters Personnel in April of 2002 as a Sales Consultant. Tamara assists applicants from the initial interview through the placement process.
Prior to joining Peters Personnel Tamara operated her own business for twelve years in rural Nebraska which she sold before moving to the Omaha area in 1999. Tamara attended Chadron State College where she studied Speech and Communication.
On a more personal note Tamara’s creative side is shown through interior design and her mosaic pottery business Pieces ApArt. She stays active within the community by volunteering her talents and time to local charities.
