Position Description
A flourishing Lincoln, NE based company are currently looking to expand their
team of developers to work on interesting products that are always very unique
and
individual.
This senior developer position requires a person who can show creativity and initiative while following strict coding standards and adhering to preexisting design decisions. This person will have significant responsibility as we continue to evolve our server-side and client-side frameworks. Quality bug-free code is the most important measure for this position, and realistic time estimates will allow us to give you sufficient time to complete even the most complex projects by deadline.
Our primary codebase utilizes a highly structured object-oriented PHP5 framework. Because of our range of clients, we are frequently called to extend and integrate with projects in other languages such as .Net, Java and Coldfusion. We are open to talented developers of all backgrounds because of the variety of work we do and because of our belief that we can benefit as a company from new perspectives on development strategies.
If you are self-motivated, enjoy a good programming challenge, and like to create, this position might be for you.
Minimum requirements:
* 3-5 years of web development experience * Experience using PHP5, Java or .Net * Experience using XML and SQL * Demonstrable use of OO principles * Prefer: Awareness of emerging technologies and development techniques * Prefer: Experience using an asynchronous language (JavaScript/ActionScript) * Prefer: General understanding of Linux, Apache and Subversion
This company is small but has a long track record of successful projects and satisfied clients. As a team member, you are given substantial flexibility and responsibility. You must be efficient, and your code must be largely bug-free before delivery. As long as you hit the mark on quality, you are given a great deal of control.
