Faith Westwood was chartered in 1970, when two small churches formerly known as Faith Methodist and Westwood Heights Evangelical United Brethren, merged and began meeting at our current site. In 1975, a new sanctuary was built (currently the outer office area of the administrative wing) and the congregation grew to 1,000 under the leadership of founding pastor, the late Harvey C. Gabel.
As the growth continued, education and worship space was at a shortage. In 1990, plans were drawn, that would provide a state-of-the-art worship center, an education wing, a family life center and administrative offices.
The worship center and the education wing were completed and occupied in 1994, with the administrative offices following in 1999. The Family Life Center and Fellowship Hall were completed in 2000.
Now with a membership of nearly 1,700, our church facility continues to expand as our congregation continues to grow in faith.
