The Omaha Home for Boys is looking for quality people to help in the mission to support and strengthen youth and families.
Since being founded in 1920, more than 9,000 boys from every corner of the United States have come through the doors of The Omaha Home for Boys. The vast majority of these boys have gone on to become better husbands, fathers, and neighbors. The Omaha Home for Boys is dedicated to the mission of strengthening youth and families.
The Omaha Home for Boys was founded in Omaha, Nebraska on October 12, 1920. After Father Flanagan’s Boys Town began preparations to move from downtown Omaha to a new location west of the city, the need was recognized for a safe place to send orphaned, neglected and wayward boys within Omaha’s city limits. The Omaha Home for Boys has had three locations over the 85+ year history. Since 1945, the current Inspiration Hill Campus is located at 4343 North 52nd Street.
The primary support provided by the Home is residential care and behavior modification programs for needy and at-risk boys. The Home serves youth from every part of the Country. The 59 acre campus supports eight cottages housing up to eight boys and two house parents per cottage. The campus also has a dining room, education center, recreation center, woodworking shop, administration building and Youth and Family Services Building. The Home also operates an extensive 4-H program at our 112 acre Cooper Farm facility located three miles north of the Campus. Cooper Farm is also the location of Cooper Village – a subsidiary of the Home – providing psychiatric residential care for boys.
Thanks to the caring support of friends and donors nationwide, the Home continues to be virtually 100% privately funded and does not charge a fee for services. The Home is a 501 (c) (3)charitable organization and is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA).
The Omaha Home for Boys is a great team to join!
