Diversified Financial Services (DFS) was established in 1969 by Valmont Industries to facilitate the leasing of irrigation equipment that was sold under the Valley Irrigation name. In 1990 Diversified Financial Services was purchased by the Lauritzen Corporation a multi-bank holding company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2001 DFS purchased a retail finance division in St. Louis, Missouri that specializes in financing commercial and industrial equipment. DFS recently merged with First National Equipment Financing on January of 2007 to create a “Best in Class” equipment financing and insurance company. This newly merged company will have the size and scope to provide more products to more potential customers.
