MCA of Omaha is a professional association representing contractors in mechanical construction. It has a membership of over XXX mechanical contractors of all sizes engaged in such disciplines as plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, controls systems, medical gases, welding, and fire suppression, primarily within the industrial, commercial and institutional sectors. Many members also perform service and maintenance work for their customers.
MCA of Omaha provides its members with these services:
- Represents members in all labor relations matters including negotiation, grievances, apprenticeship training and benefit plans;
- Legislative and governmental affairs representation before local bodies;
- Represents member interests to owners, architects engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and others involved in construction;
- Direct membership services such as inquiry response, legal hotline, insurance and other programs;
- Publication of Fittings newsletter and contractor guidebook;
- Library of technical publications, manuals and tapes.
Labor Relations:
MCA of Omaha contractors work with the highly qualified pipe fitters and service technicians of Pipefitters Local Union 464.
Student Chapter:
MCA of Omaha established its first Student Chapter at University of Nebraska at Lincoln … It is part of MCAA’s national student chapter program.
National Affiliation:
Members of MCA of Omaha are local affiliates of the national MCAA (Mechanical Contractors Association of America). The backbone of MCAA as a national association is its state and local affiliates. They serve as a conduit to the national association activities and are the foundation for their respective state and local programs. MCA of Omaha benefits from the national association through outstanding educational programs, resource catalogs, and business seminars. The role of the National Association is to encourage, support and promote the advancement of the mechanical contracting industry.
