Crescent Electric Supply Company was founded in 1919 in Dubuque, Iowa by Titus B. Schmid. Starting with a single distribution facility in Dubuque, the company has experienced strong and steady growth over the years until there are now more than 120 Crescent Electric Supply Company distribution facilities located in 25 states from coast to coast and border to border. This includes a second facility in Dubuque for Corporate Inside Sales, our telemarketing operation.
One of our more significant goals is the delivery of NO SURPRISES. To that end our operating system meets ISO 9001:2000 standards to which 30 Crescent Electric locations are officially certified compliant, and all other locations follow the same operating system and procedures.
Representing most major brands and hundreds of other manufacturers, Crescent Electric Supply serves an extremely broad market that includes Contractor, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, and Utility customers. Products we represent range from lamps, lighting fixtures, switchgear, distribution and control. We also stock all related construction materials. We represent a complete offering of industrial automation products and a huge selection of data communications and networking equipment. These products are stocked locally and supported by some of the most knowledgeable personnel in the industry. All Crescent Electric Supply locations have access on a real-time basis to the entire national inventory (within franchise requirements).
