Position Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent area from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a field highly related to computer science or data processing required.
  • Two to three years of experience in a position in which information management was a significant part of the job responsibilities required.
  • Background in relational database systems or an equivalent combination of related education and experience required
  • Knowledge and experience using SQL programming required (preferably Oracle PL/SQL).
  • Knowledge and experience with reporting tools such as Oracle Reports & Discoverer and experience with Sun Solaris operating system is desirable
  • Experience with SunGard HE Banner system is also desirable.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as a primary SunGard Banner user liaison to the functional users in the areas assigned.
  • Maintain SunGard Banner tables for the modules assigned
  • Implement upgrades/patches to the Oracle database management system and the Banner application.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise with the Oracle database, the Banner applications, and related systems.
  • Attend appropriate training sessions on the supported applications / technologies
  • Serve as backup Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Perform other duties relevant to the job functions as assigned.
