This position will assist in various networking duties. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in installation of network equipment including: Cisco and HP Switches, Ethernet Cabling, UPS Systems, UPS Batteries, and Cable Management.
• Documenting and updating physical inventory and updating databases for a variety of networking equipment including equipment upgrades, swapouts, and changes.
• Assisting with network requests involving network layer 1 and 2 as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma required, with some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum one year experience using, troubleshooting, and managing information technology, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge and experience in Networking cabling and switches.
• Prefer experience with HP and Cisco switches.
• Prefer work experience in a large computer networking environment.
• Demonstrated skills in computer networking troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to analyze needs and solve problems.
• Must be able to physically lift and carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral, and interpersonal skills.
