The Portland office of HDR is hiring a Sr. Fisheries Civil Engineer. The primary duties of the Fisheries Civil Engineer are to design and plan production for fisheries related designs including fish ladders, diversion structures, screening intakes and channel restoration. Specific elements include site layouts, alternative evaluation and selection, design drawings, cost estimating, and associated civil engineering activities. Performs complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification or standard engineering techniques and procedures. Would be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity. Other job responsibilities include project management and client support, business development, preparation of scopes and budgets, strategic planning, and supervision of professional staff.
