The primary duties of the Senior Structures Engineer include serving in a lead technical role of a structure(s). Duties also include communicating with the Structures Task Lead, performing complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects. The types of bridges include segmental, arch, steel girder, prestress concrete girder and slab, concrete and steel box girders. Types of retaining walls include soldier pile with or without tiebacks, soil nail, cast-in-place concrete, MSE, cylinder pile. The Senior Bridge Engineer will also perform and/or review all structural design aspects bridges and walls, write and/or review technical structural reports and plan layout and/or review plan sheets.



The Senior Bridge Engineer must be comfortable being viewed as a technical lead in structural engineering analysis and design and have a proven background of technical design on the above listed types of structures.

The Senior Bridge Engineer will serve as a technical lead on a structure(s) for a portion of the project and supervise other engineers and CADD techs in the performance of engineering and plan production tasks.
