The responsibilities of the position include performing yearly updates to existing environmental plans, assistance in helping the Air Force Base stay in compliance with all applicable environmental permits, performing inspections and training, and other duties as assigned. The candidate would be responsible for handling various programs which are somewhat media specific such as Air, Water, Solid Waste, NEPA, Hazardous Waste, Hazardous materials. The successful candidate will be one with good teamwork skills and communication skills.

Additional Training and Certifications applicable for the environmental career field are desired. A Secret clearance is required for the position and must be able to be obtained by the selected candidate within 3-6 months of employment. Familiarity with both Federal and CA environmental regulations is a requirement of the position. Previous experience working at or in support of a Federal or DoD installation is desired.
