Children’s Nebraska is currently recruiting for a medical director to join our team. The opportunity is open to a board-certified child & adolescent psychiatrist. As the Medical Director for Children’s Nebraska Acute Behavioral Health Services, you will work in partnership with senior leadership as we prepare for the grand opening of our Behavioral Health and Wellness Center. In January 2026, Behavioral Health & Wellness Center will provide an innovative, collaborative work culture located within a new 103,000 sf facility designed to ensure it is welcoming to all from the moment they enter. The multidisciplinary team will support the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center’s Crisis Assessment Center, inpatient, partial hospitalization (mental health and eating disorders), outpatient, and primary care services. Work will be guided by a trauma-informed care model where the role of parents, families and community are valued throughout the healing process. Once opened, the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center will offer a continuity of care within pediatrics no one will match.
