About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership, setting the long-term strategic vision, priorities, and budget for the Legal team. This role requires a business leader with a legal background, who can ensure the company and its employees comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and who can provide guidance on the most sensitive legal matters. The General Counsel will also be responsible for leading a legal team, managing relationships with outside counsel, and overseeing a wide range of legal areas including M&A, employment law, data privacy, and security. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a JD from an accredited law school, with bar membership in good standing, and at least 15 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 5 years in an in-house counsel role. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, the ability to think strategically, and a proven track record of fostering high-performing teams. They should be adept at managing a high volume of work, have experience with large organizations, and be able to communicate legal advice clearly and persuasively to a diverse audience. The role demands a leader who can anticipate and resolve legal issues, and who is skilled at de-escalating and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
