About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chair for the Department of Modern and Classical Languages. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the department, overseeing all operations and playing a key role in promoting the study of languages and cultures. This includes strategic enrollment management, budgeting, academic planning, and fostering a culture of excellence and respect. The Chair will also be responsible for managing and consulting with faculty and staff, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, engaging in research and scholarship, and serving as a liaison and advocate for the department. A terminal degree in a related discipline, eligibility for tenure at the rank of full professor, and a strong record of scholarship and teaching are required.
