About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Product Development, and Design to join its executive team. The successful candidate will be a key leader, responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of the company's merchandising, product development, and design initiatives. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in the home textiles industry, particularly in developing and launching innovative products for major retailers. The SVP will be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive merchandising plans, identifying market opportunities, and leading a high-performing, cross-functional team to ensure the creation of trend-setting products that meet customer needs. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years experience in merchandising, product development, and design, including at least 5 years in an executive leadership role. The role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, excellent leadership and team-building skills, and the ability to foster a culture of innovation and excellence. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with strong project management skills, and possess exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. A passion for product innovation, a keen eye for design, and the ability to stay ahead of industry trends are essential. The SVP will also be expected to travel quarterly, including overseas, to execute sourcing plans with development and design teams.
