About the Role

The Company is seeking an SVP, Enterprise Credit Policy to lead the strategic and operational direction of credit policy and risk across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving initiatives to enhance the enterprise-wide credit platform, reduce risk, and support the company's growth. This role requires a deep understanding of credit underwriting, risk management, and the residential lending process. The SVP will work closely with senior management, investors, and capital markets to establish and maintain guidelines for products in the secondary market, and will ensure the integrity of the credit policy framework across various lending divisions. Applicants for the SVP, Enterprise Credit Policy position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and a minimum of 12 years' experience in a related field, with at least 8 years in management and 8 years in conventional and government loan experience. A background in the mortgage industry and underwriting designations is also preferred. The role demands a candidate with expert knowledge of credit-related regulations, guidelines, and a strong network within the industry. The SVP will be the key point of contact for credit policy, providing thought leadership, and driving the implementation of changes to improve loan quality and performance. The position also involves chairing the Enterprise Credit Policy Committee and acting as the final decision-maker for escalated credit policy issues.
