Description

The Senior Network Engineer is a vital role that involves overseeing the entire Verily Enterprise Network infrastructure. You will be a subject matter expert for the rest of the business, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining all things related to our network.

Responsibilities
  • Design, engineer and implement physical network infrastructure at all of Verily's global locations: This includes LAN, WAN WiFi and security aspects of the network.
  • Implement VPC Infrastructure to our cloud based data center: Assist with design and implementation of secured connections to the cloud providers and design routing protocols for resilient connectivity.
  • Monitoring and alerting: Configure monitoring and alerting for all equipment and virtual appliances that power the network.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot networking issues: Work with our helpdesk and NOC to troubleshoot and diagnose network connectivity problems.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
  • Expert level knowledge of WiFi technologies, Switching, routing protocols, firewall functionality and cloud networking concepts.
  • Expertise in working with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto and related equipment manufacturers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Level certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto or other networking vendors.
  • Experience with IT security and compliance; and managing partner relationships.
  • Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing complex distributed systems in a public cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Experience writing technical documentation or building codelabs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $206,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
